A customized Transformer for the Test Field Voltage Supply

The steadily increasing level of automation and digitization in machine and plant technology in the world’s industrial factories demands that the leading technology providers in drives technology offer innovative, energy-efficient and reliable drive systems, i.e. specifically the corresponding inverters and motors. The increasing performance requirements for converters and motors have now made it necessary for our customer to modernize its test field equipment.

The transformer previously used to supply the test field with power also had to be replaced in order to enable significantly higher power for test field operation. The design challenge for TRAMAG was to manage with the existing installation space despite the larger transformer and to retain the current connection points, i.e. to enable transformer replacement without structural changes and without new cables laying!

The solution: All connection points of the transformer were placed in exactly the same position and thus the copper connections were positioned in such a way that all input and output side cables are accessible from above and can be connected safely. In addition, the new transformer now has only one connection point for the secondary-side voltage change, which is implemented with reversible bridges, and thus represents a further improvement for more flexible and efficient test field operation. All challenges mastered for our customer!

For years, customers all over the world have trusted in TRAMAG’s solution competence for the use of transformers, chokes and filters for the most diverse electro-technical applications, including TRAMAG transformers for the safe and reliable operation of test systems for the testing of converters and motors for advanced drives systems.

Quality is when your QMB goes “High-Five-S” with you

We know where quality must ultimately be demonstrated and proven: In the product, in the customer’s application. But where does quality begin? On the one hand in technical development and on the other hand in the organization of workplaces in production. Employees who keep their workstations tidy maintain an overview, have access to the right tools at all times and can work on the product efficiently and with quality assurance.
