In hardly any other industry are the quality requirements for safe voltage supply, electrical safety and reliable functionality greater than in medical technology. Our TRAMAG medical technology transformers are a special type of isolating transformer. They meet the increased electrical require-ments for use in the medical sector according to the European standard EN 60601-1 for medical devices.
For decades, TRAMAG has been developing and producing these trans-formers specially designed for medical technology, which are used world-wide in magnetic resonance tomographs (MRT), among other things. For this special medical technology application, our transformer provides the MRT system with the necessary power for an amplifier to feed the MR coils, as required.

The TRAMAG medical technology transformers have a safe galvanic separation with increased test voltage, taking into account increased creepage and clearance distances. They are also characterized by noise-reduced operation and a multiple secondary system protected by circuit breakers for numerous output voltages. In addition, they offer special thermal protection and low power loss in electrical operation.

Information visit to TRAMAG by the VDI District Association of Bavaria North-East
On the afternoon of St Nicholas’ Day, the TRAMAG plant in Fürth hosted an information event for members of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) from the Bavarian North-East District Association. Due to the regional proximity and also taking TRAMAG’s 100th anniversary as an occasion, we received a request from the Nuremberg VDI local group to visit our plant, which we were very happy to fulfil.
