TRAMAG Transformers according to EN 60601-1 with multiple secondary system for Medical Devices
Highlight of the week
In hardly any other industry are the quality requirements for safe voltage supply, electrical safety and reliable functionality greater than in medical technology. Our TRAMAG medical technology transformers are a special type of isolating transformer. They meet the increased electrical require-ments for use in the medical sector according to the European standard EN 60601-1 for medical devices.
For decades, TRAMAG has been developing and producing these trans-formers specially designed for medical technology, which are used world-wide in magnetic resonance tomographs (MRT), among other things. For this special medical technology application, our transformer provides the MRT system with the necessary power for an amplifier to feed the MR coils, as required.
Individual solutions from our TRAMAG specialists
The TRAMAG medical technology transformers have a safe galvanic separation with increased test voltage, taking into account increased creepage and clearance distances. They are also characterized by noise-reduced operation and a multiple secondary system protected by circuit breakers for numerous output voltages. In addition, they offer special thermal protection and low power loss in electrical operation.
For years, customers all over the world have trusted in TRAMAG’s solution competence for the use of transformers, chokes and filters for the most diverse applications with medical equipment. With their experience, their knowledge and their understanding of quality, our employees in develop-ment and production will provide the optimum and special standard-compliant transformer, choke or filter solution for every medical-technology application.
We look forward to your request.

From the Fürth Solar Hill to the own Solar Roof
Eight years after saving the commissioning of the “Fürth Solarberg” with TRAMAG transformers, the Ammon family decided to install their own photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of TRAMAG’s own company building. The 184kW peak output is sufficient to supply around 55 households with electricity, as reported in December 2011 by the Fürther Nachrichten on the occasion of the commissioning of the TRAMAG PV system, which was also attended by the Mayor of Fürth, who also climbed onto TRAMAG’s roof.Learn more
