TRAMAG Special Transformers with the right power for Copper Wire Production

Highlight of the week

Machine and plant construction is the primary domain for the use of our TRAMAG transformers. These transform the voltage level of the factory power grid to the required voltage level for the electrical operation of machines and plants.

Many highly specialized and technically complex machines also require precisely fitting transformers for technologically special manufacturing processes within a plant, e.g. for process annealing in wire production. The wire gets rigid due to the mechanical deformation during the drawing process. For further mechanical processing, especially for the manufacturing of smaller cross-sections, the raw wire must be soft annealed again.

The needed current for this heating process is supplied by our customer-specific converter-transformer with high power for the generation of high currents, at low voltage at the same time. Perfectly matched to the interaction with an upstream thyristor converter and a downstream DC rectifier, the TRAMAG converter transformers perform reliably and safely in this special system configuration.

Individual solutions from our TRAMAG specialists

For years, customers all over the world have trusted in TRAMAG’s solution competence for the use of transformers, chokes and filters for the most diverse electrotechnical applications, including copper wire production. For the subsequent winding of the coils in the electric motors and transformers of this world.

From the Fürth Solar Hill to the own Solar Roof

Eight years after saving the commissioning of the “Fürth Solarberg” with TRAMAG transformers, the Ammon family decided to install their own photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of TRAMAG’s own company building. The 184kW peak output is sufficient to supply around 55 households with electricity, as reported in December 2011 by the Fürther Nachrichten on the occasion of the commissioning of the TRAMAG PV system, which was also attended by the Mayor of Fürth, who also climbed onto TRAMAG’s roof.
