Medical transformers are a special type of isolating transformer and ensure a safe power supply for medical systems and equipment in hospitals and doctors’ surgeries worldwide. Designed according to the European standard EN 60601-1 for medical electrical equipment.
The single-phase and three-phase transformers must meet the high safety requirements as well as special standard regulations in medical technology. To meet these, they have safe galvanic isolation with increased test voltage, taking into account increased creepage distances and clearances.
